A Spell Loop occurs when spells are cast interconnected, one fueling the next, ad infinitum.

Spell Loop is also an indie game studio, founded by Jan Lachnit circa 2023 AD in Leipzig, Germany. It houses all manner of games developed by its founder. Among these, of course, the projects he created as part of Hypnotic Owl. They run the gamut from crude Game Jam entries to refined and sometimes even prizewinning full releases.

The founder himself lives a modest, private life, eschewing most social media platforms as well as public exhibitions. Although, he can be seen sporadically on some of the less crowded ones. Until recently, he was under contract with the Berlin-based, BreakPoint.One, developing AR and VR applications. He still teaches a Game Design Basics course at the SAE Institute. Thus he now has more time to further his body of work instead of just maintaining it! We'll see if he has really kept his playful and particular creative mind and isn't just using it to build more Magic the Gathering decks.
